About the role
This position will contribute to research activities for an exciting new project and specifically to support the Center for Computational Engineering Science. The focus will be on the development, maintenance, testing and evolution of the full ecosystem of multi-physics modeling software, and workflows on HPC environments for undercarriage damper systems. landing in order to achieve the project objectives.
You will be trained at doctoral level in a relevant subject (or close to the end of your doctorate), with the necessary technical knowledge and experience with a strong background in the development and application of computational fluid dynamics software, user proficient in at least one programming language (Fortran/Python/C/C++) and scripting, experience in using and developing open source CFD software, experience in pre-processing software packages (CAD, mesh generation) and post-processing (Paraview, Tecplot, Visit, Matlab), as well as experience using national HPC facilities and cloud platforms for massively parallel simulations. Good publishing experience in international peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings is desirable. With excellent communication skills, you will be a good team player, enjoy presenting and can handle pressure. Project planning is also an important skill for these positions and successful candidates will be able to demonstrate self-motivation, perseverance and initiative.
