Microsoft, the world leader in software, has enabled young girls to enter the field of software application development. The Microsoft Power platform has made it easy for even elementary school students to develop custom apps based on their needs. Power Platform is well suited for automating core business processes with Power Automat, performing data analytics with Power BI, creating simple Power Apps experiences, and creating convenient chatbots with Power Virtual Agents. Due to its friendly nature, 10-year-old Pakistani twins Zara and Zenubia became the youngest to have the certification and the youngest pair of twins in the world to pass the Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals certification. Their journey to developing apps with little to no coding knowledge started with adopting a growth mindset and encouraged creative expression and self-discovery from an early age.

The twin sisters’ success story begins when both were exposed to the Microsoft Learn platform, which included apps and resources that led them to create their very first Microsoft Power Platform app, an expense tracker. which reads data from an Excel spreadsheet and helps users create a budget. Their father spurred their interest in software as he was forced to work from home during the COVID-19 lockdown. They started learning software from there and taught themselves basic programming. Even after resuming their studies, they continued to develop their interest in programming and started replicating applications by gaining experience on the web in their free time and creating expense management solutions for their father. .

The Microsoft Power Platform is one of the world’s leading platforms for low-code applications and business intelligence, and one of the pillars of Microsoft’s cloud offering. The platform is widely used around the world as the most efficient way to develop custom software applications and transform the way people solve real problems using technology. The Power Platform certification is for people who want to build solutions for their organizations using Microsoft Power Platform. It enables individuals to automate business processes, perform data analytics, and integrate artificial intelligence to create new solutions.

Microsoft Education Manager for Pakistan, Mr. Jibran said

However, these exceptionally highly intellectual girls are not the first Pakistani women to achieve this success at a very young age, but Arfa Karim was only nine years old when she became the youngest Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) in the world. She was also the youngest recipient of the Pride of Performance award in Pakistan and her name was listed in the Guinness Book of World Records.
