Great Learning launches PG in software development and engineering with job placement assistance


Edtech Great Learning Company has started a postgraduate program in software development and engineering. This six-month program is available to graduates and young professionals to acquire sought-after software development skills. In addition, dedicated placement assistance will be provided to help them place themselves in the best IT companies, says the edtech organization.

The program includes an introduction to programming, object-oriented programming, Core JAVA, data structures and algorithms, databases, web development frameworks and synthesis projects providing a deep dive into the field.

The program will provide professional support in the form of mock interviews with industry experts and resume advice. As part of the placement assistance unit, candidates will be placed with Capgemini, Dell, Amazon, Flipkart, Nvidia, HCL, Uber, Intel, KPMG, Cognizant, Deloitte, etc.

“According to a recent NASSCOM report, 3,40,000 is the current gap between supply and demand for tech talent in India. This program aims to bridge the gap and empower new and emerging professionals Career with knowledge and skills to prepare for roles such as JavaScript Developer, Back-End Developer, Full Stack Engineer, Python Developer, and Front-End Engineer, which are among the top 15 emerging jobs in India based on ‘a recent study from LinkedIn,’ the company explains.

The program includes over 150 hours of live instructional sessions from industry experts and mentors. It also includes over 300 hours of coding with one-on-one mentoring.
