Egyptian IT agency presents roadmap for local software companies to embrace global digital transformation trends

The Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), through its Software Engineering Competence Center (SECC), launched the DX4SW initiative to help local software development companies to follow the latest global trends in digital transformation.

The initiative (DX4SW) aims to support digital transformation and business agility in the local IT industry, helping software development companies achieve their digital strategies and business goals.

The Digital Transformation 4 Software Development Companies (DX4SW) initiative comes in cooperation with the Chamber of Information and Communication Technologies (CIT) and the Egyptian Alliance of Information, Telecommunications, Electronics and software (EITESAL).

The DX4SW Reference Architecture and DX Guide focus on developing five main aspects, including business performance and results, processes, people, information systems and technology, leveraging the SECC’s expertise in the application of international quality standards in the software industry.

Based on the DX4SW product structure, SECC will showcase an innovative, technology-based, capability-based reference architecture, delivering a service roadmap to help these companies optimize their resources and meet global DX trends, at the following an initial capacity assessment for beneficiary companies.

CIT and EITESAL will subsidize their member companies to join the initiative based on their size, offering 80% small companies, 70% medium and 60% large companies.

ITIDA has defined the eligibility criteria, including that the beneficiary company has at least three years of professional experience, must be an Egyptian company working in the field of ICT, must be registered in the online database of ITIDA companies and is a member of the aforementioned NGOs.
